Pre-Wedding Questionnaire

The time has come to start planning the final details of your wedding day - YAY!!!

This questionnaire is an important step in helping me prepare to document your day in a way that feels true to you. Please take your time and answer each question as thoroughly as you can. Your responses will help me create a custom photography timeline and family photo list.

Kindly remember to fill this out on a computer for the best experience.

If you’re unsure about anything or need a little extra support, feel free to reach out to schedule a quick Google Meet - I’d love to help! I truly can’t wait to capture all the beautiful moments of your day :)

(first and last)

(please provide both)

(second shooters have long been removed from my packages but would have been included for some of you for half the day, depending on the time of booking)

(in case I need to contact someone for directions or other instructions -- my cell number is 902-456-7646)

(addresses so that I can use my gps to find you)

(this time is about so much more than just hair and makeup - this is the time to capture details, your individual portraits, candids with your friends + any family present, and wedding party portraits before the day takes off -- capturing these moments now means that you will have more time later on throughout your timeline to enjoy with guests.)

(please list details)

(if you have your heart set on one special location, I recommend maximizing our time there -- if you prefer to have them split up throughout the day, I recommend 15-20 mins after the first look, 10-15 mins after the ceremony, and 20-30 mins at golden hour)

(whether we prioritize one special location, or take your portraits at different times throughout the day, please list the locations here)

(please find more info about "first-looks" in my wedding guide -- for example : having one allows us to take some of your couple's portraits before your ceremony)

(address so that I can use my gps to find it)

(address so that I can use my gps to find it if it isn't at your venue)

(please find more info on this within my wedding guide)

(for example: if you are getting married at a church, I may not be allowed to move within certain areas or use my flash)

(this is where you stop on your way down the aisle and share a kiss -- this is such a beautiful photo opportunity to capture you as a couple with all of your guests)

(while I typically do not recommend, these are definitely personal preference & you have my full support if you choose to have one - just please ensure you allot plenty of time for this)

(this is a great time for family formals (if they weren't already taken earlier in the day) + bridal party photos + some of your couple's portraits -- it totally makes sense for you to want to enjoy some of it as well so make sure that you leave enough time for you to do so)

(please provide address if different from the ceremony space -- I recommend moving into family formals as soon as the ceremony has finished so that everyone is already in one place & while it may seem appealing to have family move to a different location, I highly recommend choosing one that is onsite or very close to where we already are at this time)

(please build your family photo list here - example: 1. couple + mom (Susan) + dad (Jeff) + brother (Ben) 2. couple + grandma (Dorothea) + Grandpa (Wendell) -- it is very helpful for me to know who they are in relation to you as well as their names)

(if we already took photos of each group during the getting ready portion of the day, then all we have left now is a few group photos of your entire party together - if not, we will have to make time for each side + full group portraits at this time)

(please provide address)

(this needs to happen BEFORE guests begin to access the space)

(please remember that this is my time to eat as well - please see wedding guide for more info)

(please see wedding guide for more info -- also, please remember to sit close to one another during this time for snuggly candids)

(I highly recommend doing so as this lighting is prime for the most beautiful portraits)

(I recommend doing this before the dances start)

(if so, I recommend you BOTH be out on the dance floor with them)

(if not, don't worry! we can figure this out together)

(if not, don't worry! we can figure this out together)

(an hour into the dances is typically perfect, unless you want all of the dance floor action + your exit captured)

(I recommend adding 10 minutes off buffer time as we transition from one part of the day to the next -- this will allow you to feel fully present in each moment ensuring you are able to soak it all in)

(please describe and/or link your Pinterest board here)

(while I always strive to prioritize my wedding couples, my 2025 season is almost full -- with almost every Saturday booked from June to November, and so many Friday and Sunday weddings this year, I am aiming to schedule all remaining engagement sessions on weekday evenings -- that said, I will find some wiggle room within my weekend scheduling if needed but preferably not on Sundays) Here is a link to my engagement session guide to help you prepare: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ibYXgLWvZ-nNQJI-Afx7AP
